JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview:
FOX Sports San Diego (FSSD) is seeking one Communications and Marketing intern for Spring 2018. This program specifically will help to prepare the student for their professional career in marketing and social media. This hands-on opportunity is intended only for those students serious about a career in a business communications and marketing field. In this position, the intern will gain first-hand experience in a fast-paced environment as well as learn to communicate effectively and efficiently with team partners and across all functions of the Regional Sports Network.
Availability Requirements:
• Term - Summer (minimum of three months, beginning June)
• Weekly- available at least 3 days per week (max 20 hours per week)
• Weekend events – attend/assist when available
Expectations:
• Must be eager to learn
• Take charge of projects
• Exhibit professional appearance, communication and composure when representing FSSD.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Be at least a second year student
• Enrolled in Marketing and/or Communications courses
• Have a strong interest in social media
• Hold good academic standing (>3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale)
• Have had one previous PR or marketing related internship
To participate in Fox's Internship program you must meet the following criteria:
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and be sophomore status or above.
• Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by the Company.
• Housing is not provided, so please have a housing option guaranteed before applying.
