FOX Sports is looking for a Manager, Operations Scheduling to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. The Manager, Operations Scheduling is responsible and accountable for generating the daily scheduling of freelance personnel involving FBC and FS1. With direction from CPs and Producers, the Manager, Operations Scheduling will assign each freelancer a weekly schedule based on programming and production needs. The role is also responsible for tracking sick days, vacation requests, time off policies, and all other scheduling concerns, and being the liaison with Human Resources.
The Manager, Operations Scheduling will handle the scheduling and coordination of freelance personnel. This group varies week to week, depending on how busy show schedules are, but ranges from 15-20 people per week. The Manager, Operations Scheduling will work with show budgets and coordinating producers to ensure labor costs for this group remain in line with the budget projection. They will also manage the budget for the supplies needed to support the show/s. There needs to be a fair understanding of union guidelines.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Day-to-day maintenance of all freelance scheduling
• Work with senior production staff on specific schedule assignments and post the schedules for all employees to see
• Stay within budget guidelines and be conscientious about potential overages
• Monitor and record all employee sick days, vacation requests, and all other employee time off, and is the main contact with Human Resources on all these issues
• Understand union guidelines and remain consistent
• Aggressive in searching for additional personnel to provide depth at all positions
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 5+ years of experience in television production
• Able to work flexible days and hours as production needs dictate
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Keynote, and Outlook

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in production management and/or scheduling area
