The Big Ten Network (BTN) is seeking a Content Coordinator to join their team in Chicago. You will support the content creation and distribution of the BTN On Campus – Video Producer/Editor program. As the Content Coordinator, you will edit, schedule and share content across multi-platform BTN channels (digital, social, broadcast). You will report directly to the Sr. Director of Digital Marketing and Communications.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide day-to-day management of the BTN On Campus program including managing the content calendar, editing and distribution
• Support BTN in the creative development, production and preparation of BTN On Campus content for multi-platform BTN channels (digital, social, broadcast)
• Serve as the key point of contact for the BTN On Campus program as it relates to continuing digital/social education, best practices and troubleshooting
• Provide pre-and-post production video editing optimized for sharing/social consumption
• Organize and evaluate content for assigned programs (Production, Ad Sales, etc.); determine the agenda and tone of the video
• Coordinate with the Sr. Director of Digital Marketing and Communications to shape content and copy into video segments for digital and social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat)
• Manage the coordination of real time reactions to breaking Big Ten news and live coverage of Big Ten events
• Act as a digital advocate in coordination with participating BTN On Campus schools to ensure a seamless BTN integration
• Manage extensive social reporting to provide benchmarking for the BTN On Campus program
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree with emphasis on communications, journalism or social media
• 1-2 years of experience in creating content for use on digital/social media platforms
• Strong knowledge of the digital and social media landscape and on-line content management systems (Grabyo preferred)
• Has an established ability to create and produce compelling stories; generates and executes ideas, from concept to execution
• Experience producing live video content for social media (Facebook Live, Persicope, etc.)
• Excellent writing and editing skills including grammar, style and spelling
• Understanding of digital analytics
• Must be organized, detail oriented, proactive and a team player
• Demonstrated ability to meet strategic deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Possesses a deep knowledge of Big Ten Athletics and pop culture
• Familiarity with Big Ten Network's programming, talent and brand initiatives
