Are you a sports fan with experience in print advertising and a desire to design original, compelling campaigns that fuel your favorite sports network? If so, you could be the next Art Director for FOX Sports! As Art Director, you will lead and oversee off-air projects from conception to delivery, which covers designing and producing all off-air projects including print, digital, internet, and photo shoots. This exciting opportunity will allow you to develop original concepts and pitches for off-air promo campaigns and work with in-house and out-of-house designers/retouchers to develop pitch frames. This means initiating and overseeing every creative aspect of many of FOX Sports' innovative and award-winning print campaigns.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Originate ideas and concepts, develop pitches and operate hands-on with all aspects of off-air and campaign creation including design, visual effects, animation, and graphic applications for original campaigns and promos
• Create Keynote decks for presentations
• Direct work of in-house and out-of-house designers and retouchers
• Research and recommend outside vendors, ad agencies, designers, etc.
• Catalog appropriate collaborators for us to approach with new work
• Research the latest designs and stylized print creative to keep our campaigns fresh and in the forefront of the ad world
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• A bachelor's degree in graphic design, art, communication and/or related field
• 7 years' experience within sports or entertainment as a Creative Director, Print Advertising Director, Graphic Designer, etc.
• Solid high-level graphic designer - will need to see examples of work
• Experience working with or at an advertising agency or network, with off-air promotions experience a plus
• Good verbal, written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, as well as good interpersonal skills are required
• A passion for sports and designing award winning creative is important
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
• Leadership skills are a must
• Must have strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop with knowledge of Keynote, After Effects, Cinema 4D and Flash a bonus
• Innovative, creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to visualize, create and deliver
• Ability to coordinate with team members for better output
• Ability to write compelling copy and articulate ideas clearly
• Extensive knowledge of the sports industry
• Speed and output will be a crucial requirement
