This is a Full Time Job
Gutfeld! is looking for a Production Assistant who will support the audience coordinator, assist the Bookers, and assist editors and producers in the post-production process. The ideal candidate is proactive, passionate, familiar with programming across all the major networks, familiar with viral videos past and present, and super knowledgeable about pop culture.
The Production Assistant will search for video clips to accompany the monologue, pitch and produce segments, and assist with field shoots. Familiarity with the current show is critical. The Production Assistant is a team player who can hit the ground running while working with a diverse editorial staff, guests, and technical team.
You will be offered the following shift: Monday - Friday from 12 PM to 8 PM, ET.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist editors and producers in the post-production process
• Manage rights and clearances
• Assist with field shoots
• Search for clips and work with editors to cut VO, SOTs, and montages for air
• Pitch guest segment and daily story ideas
• Work with editors to turn the raw footage into a completed, polished program
• Assist audience coordinator with greeting and checking in nightly audience
• Assist bookers with managing guest bookings and travel
• Select appropriate clips for social media
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of related experience
• Non-linear editing skills are a must
• Strong editorial judgment as well as strong logistical skills
• Experience in broadcast or cable news a plus
• Ability to multitask and prioritize is a necessity as well as being detail-oriented
• Ability to react quickly and decisively under deadline pressure
• Ability to think creatively and develop new and interesting approaches to storytelling
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including nights and weekends

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $19.48-25.00 per hour for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
