JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox News is launching a new membership brand called Fox Nation, targeting Fox News fans with premium content and experiences through digital, mobile and connected TV platforms.
We are looking for a social marketing manager to lead marketing activities across social media. These efforts will have paid as well as owned media components.
The successful candidate will have strong social marketing experience and be expected to support the delivery of the marketing strategy at pace. You must be a self-starter and be able to work independently and as part of the wider team. The candidate will have an understanding of both organic and paid posting and know how to use the basic features of the social ad buying tools. The candidate will also support the marketing copywriter when needed for other marketing assets.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan, manage and implement the social media content calendar, including writing and preparing posts and ads
• Develop and implement strategies to leverage social media to generate subscribers for Fox Nation, including interfacing with existing social teams at Fox News
• Organic and paid posting
• Respond to community engagement
• Grow fans/followers for accounts
• Engage with affiliate brands and projects
• Outreach to influencers
• Deliver content planning and scheduling
• Monthly reporting on social campaign results, insights, data
• Community development across all social media platforms
• Strategy development & presentations
• Coordinate with customer support teams on social servicing as/if required.
• Sustain market knowledge of the competitive and consumer environment
• Maintain good records of promotional activities with file copies of creative, reach/audience and results in order to inform future campaign planning
• Work with acquisition team to monitor the success of all acquisition marketing activities for social channels through appropriate measurement & evaluation
• Review marketing activities with Marketing Lead and make recommendations for improvement
• Ensure reporting systems are in place to track campaign performance and keep reports up to date
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Strong writing skills - you will know how to engage audiences with creative copy and understand each client's tone of voice
• Strong project management skills to manage content schedules and your own workload
• Image/video editing skills
• Excellent knowledge and high level of interest in news and current events
• Experience in Adobe Photoshop or similar software to create and size images for social media feeds
• A good understanding of content marketing and content strategy
• Basic experience with paid social
• A keen eye for design with and an ability to select attention-grabbing images
