JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox News is looking for a creative, highly motivated, pro-active Editor/ENG Photographer to join our Washington, DC Bureau. The Editor/Photographer is responsible for editing video and/or a news packages each day before shooting live shots for our O&O stations. The Editor/Photographer must be able to turn raw video into news packages and create broadcast quality pieces very quickly in a live environment with a sharp eye for detail.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Candidate must be creative, enthusiastic, solution oriented, team player who is flexible with their work schedule which will include very early mornings and some evenings and weekends
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Adobe Premier editing
• Moving fast on non-linear edit platforms should be second nature
• Candidate should have a passion for news and demonstrated knowledge of current events
• Work with Panasonic & Sony ENG cameras and file workflow operation
• Audio for single camera set-ups
• FTP, LiveU, BGAN operations
• Nonstandard work schedule, including overtime and weekends
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 5 years of experience in non-linear editing, Adobe Premier Pro and as an ENG photographer
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects is preferred. Knowledge of Sapphire/Boris plug-ins is a plus
• Demonstrated editorial judgement and broadcast experience
• Have great time management skills
• Work well with producers and reporters
• Be able to take direction and then work independently
• have strong lighting skills and experience with various lighting techniques
• The flexibility and speed to work in a high stress breaking news environment
• Proficient in mixing live remotes with IFB communications
• Working knowledge of field audio mixers
• Familiar with streaming technologies, satellite news-gathering vehicles
• Safely driving company owned and rental vehicles
• Valid Driver's License and Passport
• A clean driving record is required
