JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Broadcast Engineer to join our Fox News family. As the Broadcast Engineer, you help maintain studios for various live programming control rooms and remote locations. You are a critical component to the success of our broadcasting teams.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participate in various roles as a Broadcast Engineer to help maintain Transmission, Master Control, Vizrt, and Nexio graphic systems along with Sony Switchers and Calrec audio
• Travel to DC remote offices, Capitol Hill, the White House as well as larger Fox News productions for engineering responsibilities
• Assist our Fox News Radio department and help IT where engineering assistance is needed
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• At least 5 years of experience in the field of television broadcast maintenance
• Broad knowledge of analog and digital SD/HD audio/video signals and system flows
• Experience with broadcast, post production, graphics, satellite, communications, IP networking and computer hardware/software skills
• Experience in a news oriented, on-air broadcast facility is highly desirable
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel and Word
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education is preferred
• Availability to work occasional weekends and nights during the implementation of projects or whenever circumstances require a significant engineering presence
