The FOX Internship Program provides mentoring and learning opportunities to help you develop your skills, network with FOX employees, and learn more about what it is like to work in the entertainment / B2B industry. The Broadcast Media Operations Intern provides support to the department's teammates. Interns are responsible for maintaining satisfied stakeholders by delivering assistance and support to Broadcast Operations staff on various projects/workflows.
FOX Intern Program Timeline
• Spring Program: January - May
• Summer Program: June - August
• Fall Program: September – December
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supporting Broadcast Media Coordinators & Media Specialists through various workflows such as, but not limited to:
• Procurement of all broadcast media assets, including scripts and promotional content
• Coordination of media assets through various stages for linear and non-linear broadcast based on established priorities
• Coordination of subtitling/dubbing and/or graphic localization & casting process flow: coordinating with vendors, establishing deadlines and managing timely delivery schedules to meet broadcast airdates
• Extensive Data entry into Broadcast Management and Media Assets Management systems
• Performing various technical tasks such as segmentation, editing, file reformatting and electronic deliveries
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills*
• Strong organizational, multitasking skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Experience with Adobe Premiere – Entry level is acceptable
• Eagerness to learn about media file types, transcoding, file transferring & editing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & handle pressure
• Possesses strong sense of urgency & ability to deal with conflicting priorities
• *Bilingual competency (English/Spanish or English/Portuguese) is NOT required but is a plus
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and be sophomore status or above
• Students should only apply to positions for which they meet the criteria. Undergraduate internships are only open to undergraduate students, and graduate level internships are only open to graduate students.
• FOX does not subsidize housing or transportation.
• Interns work 20 to 25 hours per week.
• All internships are paid.
