FOX Entertainment is looking for a new staff member to serve on the NY publicity team where you will lead and oversee high-profile scripted and unscripted series and project-manage publicity initiatives for various series. We are looking for someone with experience working on both SCRIPTED and UNSCRIPTED series in TELEVISION, CABLE NETWORK, STUDIO or AGENCY. You will have the opportunity to work on day-to-day press for various series, including booking talk show appearances, print interviews, photo shoots, set visits, affiliate satellite tours and radio press junkets; cast appearances, screenings, New York press trips and affiliate tours; as well as series stunts, among other special projects. As our Director, Publicity, you will represent Publicity across different departments including Social Media, Special Ops/Content, Affiliate Marketing, Design, Digital and Programming, serving as a campaign leader for the launches and maintenance of FOX series.
A SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
• Implement comprehensive publicity campaigns for all types of TV series including scripted, unscripted, animation, event, single-camera and/or multi-camera series
• On a day-to-day basis, position pitches, books and coordinates print interviews, talk show appearances, photo shoots, set visits, affiliate satellite tours, radio press junkets, new media initiatives and other press-related functions, juggling multiple projects simultaneously
• Oversee creative copy and design of launch kits, press kits, invitations and special episodic mailers
• Assist in the planning of show-specific parties, screenings, press conferences, TCA sessions and episodic milestone events
• Prepare show synopsis, talent biographies, releases, pitch letters, media alerts, episodic log lines, tip sheets and itineraries
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree and least 7 years of television show publicity experience working on both SCRIPTED and UNSCRIPTED series in TELEVISION or CABLE NETWORK, STUDIO or AGENCY, with experience leading and project-managing TV show publicity campaigns
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrate excellent leadership, team-building, problem-solving, time management, decision-making and strategic planning skills
• Creative thinker who is willing to contribute and execute new ideas
• Ability to work well with different levels of management, as well as with talent, managers, producers, publicists, agents and studio executives
• Experience planning and executing New York and Los Angeles press tours and appearances, multi-city press tours and various major market affiliate events
• Strong relationships with television and entertainment press outlets (electronic, print, radio, new media, talk show bookers, etc.)
• Corporate communications experience helpful
