JOB DESCRIPTION
Sidecar is proud to support a culture of creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and community that attracts the industry's brightest talent, and we are looking for an Assistant to join the team! Under regular supervision, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Vice President of Development and Production and the Vice President of Alternative & Production with administrative functions. We are offering an exciting opportunity for you to gain practical experience and to participate in real-world projects in both scripted and unscripted areas, which provides valuable work experience and leadership skills. If you love to read, research, and are obsessed with pop culture, then we want you to join the team!
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Answer busy phones, route calls, take messages, and maintain detailed phone logs
Schedule and coordinate meetings, meals, and calls
Perform word processing and distribute letters, memos, and other correspondence
Handle filing and photocopying
Prepare and process expense reports
Manage and schedule travel and production schedules for both executives and talent
Research projects and provide coverage of incoming submissions
Track reading and incoming submissions
Organize weekend reads and put together nightly emails
Perform various other duties, as required and assigned
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor's degree is required
1-year minimum of administrative assistant experience in a talent agency is required
Good oral and written communication skills, including a professional telephone manner and the ability to appropriately prioritize multiple, important calls
Exceptional organizational and project coordination skills
Excellent attention to detail and follow-through skills
Knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel
Experience with InEntertainment, Concur, and Work Day is a plus
Interest/experience in physical production is a plus
Ability to independently prioritize work and handle multiple tasks with set deadlines
Ability to work overtime
