Senior Vice President, Development

Job Description:
The Senior Vice President, Development will lead the creative strategy for FOX Entertainment Studios, overseeing the development of new scripted content from concept to execution. This role involves supervising the development of studio shows and ensuring FOX has a strong content pipeline with impactful talent and relationships.
Responsibilities:
• Create and develop quality series for FOX and third-party buyers.
• Source and evaluate talent, IP, pitches, and scripts for development potential.
• Strategically build the seasonal development slate across platforms.
• Maximize in-house IP and Talent synergies across FOX's departments, including Unscripted, News UK, and Animation.
• Collaborate with senior executives to ensure successful FOX programming.
• Manage development budget and spend for the Studio.
• Take general meetings for development and staffing.
• Create and evaluate writer and director lists, read scripts, and assess submissions.
• Staff high-quality showrunners, writers, and directors for FOX projects.
• Provide leadership and motivate the Development team for creative output.
Requirements:
• Experience: 15+ years at an agency, studio, or network, with experience in both TV and theatrical production.
• Education: BA/BS required.
• Skills: Established relationships with showrunners, writers, agents, and talent. Strong understanding of scripted development and production processes.
• Other Qualities: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, collaborative, and flexible with demonstrated people management experience.
Salary:
$250,000.00 - $300,000.00 annually (California), plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
