Full Time Job
We are looking for a Music Coordinator to join our fast-paced environment and assist our Marketing/Promo/Music executives & team. You will be responsible for overseeing, ingesting, and reporting of cue sheets and have a heavy hand in facilitation music licenses and clearances, registering Fox owned original music, light drafting (NDAs, release forms, re-use agreements, clip licenses), overseeing work for hire execution, developing data for music budgets, and reporting of all in-show and promo music used for royalty distribution.
We're looking for someone who can take on our fast-paced environment and is the king/queen of time management. The team is constantly making creative and technical decisions, even throughout the hour, and things change on the fly. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Report all music usage to appropriate licensors, production music libraries, and performance rights societies
• Facilitate music licenses and clearances; register Fox owned original music
• Track uses of licensed pop music in marketing pieces and in-show uses
• Communicate with internal departments to pull down spots with licensed music; communicate with show music supervisors acquire music information for music cue sheets
• Act as a liaison between marketing/music department and external vendors, including show production offices, other film/tv studios, music production houses, songwriters, and composers
• Balance production schedules and deadlines for over 30 On Air Promotion writer/producers, online producers, web designers, and other areas of the department
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Must have college degree in either marketing, production, music or legal and business affairs
• Strong familiarity with cue sheet creation and understanding of music licensing process
• Exceptional time management skills to balance our hectic production schedules and deadlines
• The marketing department undergoes many production and budget changes throughout the year, so one must have great communication skills and a positive professional approach to these challenges
• Being a team player and self-starter is also very beneficial for the marketing team
• Basic math is needed for budgets and negotiations
• Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel (preferably MAC saavy)
• Knowledge of basic television production, music theory and the recording process are all necessary while basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet analysis and desktop music production are critical
