Human Resources Coordinator

TMZ is looking for an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our HR team. The ideal Human Resources Coordinator candidate will be a hands-on, enthusiastic, self-starter who can effectively manage multiple priorities within a busy, newsroom environment. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for managing the onboarding and offboarding process, supporting recruitment, handling transactional matters, and fielding day to-day HR inquiries.

Responsibilities:
• Provide HR administrative support to the Head of HR and Director of Talent Acquisition
• Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures, and benefits
• Schedule interviews, candidate follow-ups, and conduct reference checks
• Attend talent acquisition events as needed
• Create and maintain job description library
• Oversee Intern check-ins and workshop schedule
• Provide administrative assistance during performance review process
• HR Database Management
• Oversee and manage COVID-19 protocols
• Coordinate and facilitate training as needed
• Coordinate yearly employee Flu Shot Clinic
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years' experience in HR or related field
• Working knowledge of HR processes is required.
• Experience using Workday is required.
• Strong skills using Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience in Talent Acquisition, a plus
• Excellent judgment, integrity, and discretion involving confidential information.
• Must have strong phone and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Willing to take initiative and work independently when needed.
• Be able to complete tasks in a fast paced and dynamic environment (with quick turnaround)

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $21.00-23.63 per hour for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $17.50-19.50 per hour for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
