Temp Director, Development (Comedy)
We are looking for a Director of Comedy Development - Temp to oversee a broad range of responsibilities in both new development and the management of current series. This role involves live-action and animated development, managing over 50 projects annually, and sharing coverage with a programming executive on 2-3 new series. The position demands significant effort, including hearing pitches, reading spec scripts, attending numerous meetings, and building relationships with writers and executives to ensure FOX receives the best comedy projects available.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the development and execution of current comedy series, ensuring they meet delivery schedules and maintain high-quality standards
• Lead the process of hearing hundreds of pitches and reading spec scripts to assemble the development slate; manage a portion of the slate, providing notes, and positioning projects for series orders
• Cultivate and maintain key relationships with writers, agents, talent, and executives to secure access to the best projects
• Provide opinions and recommendations on pilot and series pickups, assessing the potential of new projects
• Work closely with business affairs to determine the best course of action for specific projects, ensuring alignment across all departments
• Facilitate effective communication across FOX departments to ensure everyone is informed and equipped to support our shows
• Actively communicate with writers to represent the network
• Meet with agents and studio executives to stay informed about industry trends and ensure a steady stream of high-quality projects are delivered to the network
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 4+ years of experience at an agency, studio, or network at the manager level or above.
• Proficient in using Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Web Savvy

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $130,000.00 annually.
