FOX Entertainment Studios is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Vice President, Current – Scripted Programming to oversee the studio's slate of active scripted series across comedy and drama. This executive will lead current programming efforts not only for series airing on the FOX network, but also for those produced for third-party platforms. As a key senior leader within the studio, this role requires deep creative instincts, operational expertise, and the ability to be a strategic partner in growing FOX Entertainment Studios' scripted footprint across the industry.
This is a studio-side current programming role - not focused on development - and will oversee series from greenlight through post and delivery. Strong relationships with top-tier creators, showrunners, and producers is essential, as this executive will be expected to manage high-level creative talent and support the success of marquee titles and new studio franchises.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee all current programming activities for FOX Entertainment Studios' scripted slate, across series produced for the FOX network and third-party buyers (e.g., streamers, cable networks)
• Strategically manage new seasons of existing series, ensuring creative excellence, on-budget production, and successful delivery to partners
• Serve as a senior creative and production partner to showrunners, executive producers, and internal teams throughout the life of a series
• Maintain strong relationships with A-list talent, creators, and representatives, acting as a trusted partner and collaborator across current projects
• Collaborate closely with Business Affairs, Production, Finance, and Creative to ensure alignment across timelines, budgets, and creative needs
• Review and oversee series budgets post-greenlight, identifying efficiencies and managing any cost concerns, overages, or breakages
• Supervise post-production workflows, including extended timelines, additional content requests, and final delivery specs for various platforms
• Lead all aspects of internal reporting for current shows: from cost reports to risk exposure to P&L review, ensuring financial and audit integrity
• Maintain fluency across guild and union requirements and partner with internal labor teams to proactively navigate compliance issues
• Represent FOX Entertainment Studios at table reads, tapings, and key creative milestones, providing feedback and guidance as needed
• Oversee the execution of in-house development materials, short-form content, and promotional assets tied to current series
• Support studio growth strategy by helping to expand current programming capabilities and increase third-party series volume
• Maintain and distribute all production documentation, including schedules, contact sheets, and updated current programming calendars
• Build and strengthen internal studio infrastructure, including systems, staffing, workflows, and vendor partnerships to support scale
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 12+ years of experience in scripted television, with a strong focus on studio-side current programming for both network and third-party buyers
• Deep experience overseeing high-level comedy and drama series with top-tier creators
• Proven ability to launch and manage new seasons of existing series across various platforms and partners
• Strong relationships with elite-level showrunners, talent, producers, and agents
• Expertise in production budgeting, scheduling, post-production, and delivery across diverse formats
• Collaborative leadership style and exceptional communication skills; able to work fluidly across creative, business, and production teams
• Ability to think strategically about the growth of the studio's current slate and its evolving role in a multiplatform landscape
• Familiarity with labor, union/guild compliance, and tax incentive programs
• Passion for storytelling, strong creative instincts, and a commitment to delivering standout scripted content
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $247,000.00-325,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
