Full Time Job
We are looking for a Legal Assistant to provide administrative support for at least 3 members of the Business & Legal Affairs department, including one Associate General Counsel/Senior Vice President with answering calls, maintaining calendars, booking meetings, and assisting with the distribution of agreements/documents to our executives. You will also help with the preparation of legal documents and redline; draft routine letters and other correspondence; review and edit prepared documents for accuracy; and maintain and administer legal contract filing system (both electronic and paper files).
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Various projects, including drafting letters/correspondence, assisting with preparation of legal documents and redlines, and reviewing and editing prepared documents for accuracy
• Assist with drafting a variety of contracts related to the distribution of all Fox Corporation networks, as well as non-disclosure agreements
• Manage/direct phone calls and written/electronic correspondence, facilitate execution of legal agreements, and handle distribution of agreements/documentation to executives on a regular basis
• Manage calendar by scheduling meetings and conference calls, confirming dial-in information and conference room availability, creating meeting agendas, and circulating meeting materials
• Update contract binders, photocopy documents and distribute to various clients
• Accurately maintain and administer legal contract filing system; assist in monitoring dates of legal significance (e.g., options and expirations); work with File Room Records Coordinator
• Book/confirm travel and manage expense reports and CLE logs and compliance reports
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
• Minimum 3 years previous legal assistant experience required
• Prior work experience in a fast-paced environment required
• At least 1 year previous paralegal experience preferred
• Well spoken; strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong reasoning skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel is required; Apple (iPhone), iManage, Adobe Acrobat, Workshare (Deltaview) and Workday preferred
• Superior grammar, editing and proofing skills. Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented with the ability to independently prioritize work and handle multiple tasks with set deadlines, with superior follow-through and follow-up required
• The ability to complete high volumes of tasks and projects quickly and accurately with little guidance; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround; take effective action without having to know the total picture; and solve problems that affect people within the group or other related groups
• Client-service oriented, with great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines, and the ability to easily switch gears
• A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals and others at all levels inside and outside the company is essential
• Strong written and oral communication skills are a must, as is the desire and aptitude for learning new concepts/systems/ programs on the job
