Our DC bureau is looking for a Freelance Field Photographer to join the Fox Business Network team! As the Freelance Field Photographer, you have proven News skills and 5 years' professional experience in the field. You have strong lighting skills, experience with long format shoots, as well as the flexibility and speed to work in an exciting breaking News environment!
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Sony PXW400 or similar SxS HD camera and file workflow operations
Basic ENG field photography
Multi-camera assignments
Audio for single and multiple camera set-ups
FTP, LiveU, BGAN operations
Satellite, Nucomm microwave, fiber and truck transmissions/operations
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Flexibility to work a nonstandard work schedule, including overtime and weekends
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well with field photographers, satellite truck operators, engineers, field producers and reporters
Camera and audio mixer gear with IFB gear; enough for at least two subjects
Tungsten and HMI lighting for a Standup Live Shot and sit down one on one interview. Camera preference is a Sony PXW400 or similar. Complete list of required equipment will be provided.
Ability to multi-task in the field
Working knowledge of field audio mixers
Ability to mix and route audio for multiple camera shoots
Proficiency in mixing Live remotes with IFB communications
A valid driver's license
Experience with video photography and non-linear video editing
Experience with lighting techniques
Familiarity with streaming technologies, microwave trucks and satellite newsgathering vehicles
Team player qualities and adaptability to the needs of flexible work environment
Positive work ethic and ability to work under tight deadlines
High degree of integrity and professionalism
