We are looking for a self-driven, enthusiastic and service-oriented team player to join our Human Resources team as an Compensation Analyst/Associate Generalist. As the Compensation Analyst/Associate Generalist, you will dual report into the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Ad Sales and the Head of Compensation. In this unique role you will have a broad range of responsibilities. You will be responsible for assisting in the development and delivery of a wide variety of HR programs and initiatives. In addition, you will also be working on Compensation analysis, design, and administration of employer compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide HR administrative support throughout employee life cycle, including initiating and monitoring background checks, management of Workday HCM on boarding portal, performance reviews, leave tracking/administration and fielding day-to-day HR inquiries from the Ad Sales client groups.
• Provide guidance to employees on all HR policies and procedures.
• Manage requests for data and distribute analysis of relevant HR data to our stakeholders and collaborators.
• Assist with various research projects and/or special projects
• Compile information for routine reporting and analysis (e.g. wage/salary analysis, retention.
• Conduct general clerical duties, supporting the human resource department as needed
• Maintain HRIS databases. Verify accuracy of data, investigate causes of discrepancies, and make necessary corrections.
• Assist in implementing and managing compensation systems, to help define compensation design.
• Lead the participation in compensation survey submission as well as collecting and analyzing salary information to help determine competitive positioning.
• Review internal compensation data and perform analysis of external market statistics to determine the competitive and fair pricing for new and existing roles and provide recommendations for candidate offers.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field
• Broad knowledge of Human Resources practices
• Some knowledge of all employment laws, including: Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Americans with Disabilities Act, FMLA, CFRA, Workers' Compensation, and Harassment Prevention
• 2+ years of experience as an HR Coordinator/ Junior Generalist in a company of 200 + employees or 2+ years of experience in compensation analysis (or 2+ years in a combination thereof)
• Excellent judgment, integrity and discretion involving confidential information
• Professional experience using Microsoft Excel formulas and advanced features like vlookups and pivot tables
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to present to a variety of stakeholders
• Some experience with market pricing and compensation survey analysis preferred
• Some knowledge and understanding of various elements of compensation strategy preferred
• Adept at partnering/collaborating across HR teams/functions to come up with resolutions.
• Experience with HRIS (Workday is preferred)
