FOX Corporation is seeking an Assistant to support three Directors in the Broadcast Distribution and Marketing Department. For this role, we are looking for someone who is eager to learn about the business of entertainment/broadcast distribution as you will have the opportunity to work with various departments within the business to create calendars, ensure our content is airing in pattern, and work with our local affiliates across the country. You will provide a multitude of services to the department, including liaising with program directors at FOX Affiliate Stations, assisting with department programming announcements and calendar creation, and Affiliate Portal updates. You will also have the opportunity to do operational liaison work such as feed requests, and Expedite Communication System (E-Alert) management.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Director Liaison
• Serve as a primary contact for local FOX Affiliate Program Directors for 75+ markets
• Daily contact with the stations by way of phone and email
• Receive and review program schedules; ensure FOX programming is airing in pattern
• Update contact lists as station personnel changes; gather all FOX News Level 2 clearances in a timely fashion
• Ensure that the market information and ownership data is current and accurate in all internal documents
Programming Announcements and Calendar Creation
• Assist the Programming liaison and the Sports liaison within the department to help create announcements, update the calendar, and distribute the information to the affiliates as well as internal divisions
• Additional support for the department as it relates to answering phones, assisting with projects and other initiatives, as they arise, will be required
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• College Graduate with one year of administrative/office experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as solid interpersonal skills, are required
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to maximize efficiency
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Explorer are needed. VPS knowledge is not required but preferred
• Thorough organizational skills and attention to detail are required. The ability to multitask and work effectively under changing priorities and daily time constraints is required
• Attention to detail, the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, and the flexibility to jump from project to project is required
• Willingness to travel as there may be minimal travel in this role
• Ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about the business side of television and a great team player within a busy department and division
