JOB DESCRIPTION
The Fox Business Network is looking for an Associate Producer with a passion for financial news to join Making Money with Charles Payne. If you are able to deliver on tasks quickly in a 24 hour breaking news environment, this role may be perfect for you!
You will be assigned the following shift: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:00PM ET
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pitch appropriate guests, stories, and angles depending on news
• Write and produce two to three segments daily
• Conduct pre-interviews and book cars and satellites
• Write breaking news readers in the control room
• Gather research for the host
• Consult with producers on story direction and elements
• Advise and assist production assistants in cutting video and sound
• Identify and update any possible mistakes before they air
• Respond quickly to breaking news in the control room
• Book high-profile guests, celebrities, and people at the center of major news and financial stories
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• A bachelor's degree and or relevant work experience is preferred
• 4 years of experience in television including working in a control room
• Strong editorial judgement and pitch story ideas
• Must be a self-starter and a self-sufficient operator
• Access to unique and news making contacts
• Strong rolodex
• Knowledge of INEWS
• Ability to find people via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit
• Strong writing skills and editorial judgment
• Ability to work weekends when news warrants
