Tour Marketing Director is a position that specializes in maximizing the touring business, and overseeing marketing efforts across the Foundations roster. From inception through execution, the Tour Marketing Director leads the strategic oversight, coordination and implementation of tour marketing plans. This role incorporates project and personnel management responsibilities, advising on the development and application of marketing initiatives. Critical for working with a diverse roster, the role requires adaptability in the form of communicating with different audiences while maintaining a unique and authentic voice on behalf of the client. Additionally, consistent internal and external team member interfacing exists. The role is highly collaborative, working closely with Foundations' artists, the Foundations team, client's record labels and third-party partners (radio stations, press outlets, sponsors, promoters etc). The position will work alongside a Senior Director of Tour Marketing, dividing roster responsibilities within the Tour Marketing team while also overseeing intern(s) on a regular basis.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 2 yeas of experience in tour marketing and/or relevant touring related or management related positions in the music industry
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage and multi-task in a high volume workload environment
• Critical thinking skills: ability to overcome challenges through effective problem solving
• A strong understanding of social media and marketing across digital platforms
• A passion for marketing, music, the music business and an interest in Foundations' clients
• Written and verbal communication skills and experience communicating in team settings and with varied audiences
• A proactive and intuitive nature with the ability to anticipate needs
• Leadership Skills
• Direct experience managing people and projects is a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Creation and implementation of marketing plans across multiple tours/live events
• Monitoring and maximizing a high volume of marketing proposals from partners such as promoters, radio stations and
sponsors
• Manage, review and aid in the execution of a high volume of performance contracts
• Cultivating in-depth knowledge of the company's and clients' current processes and systems for tour marketing and
logistics
• Possessing an understanding for each client's album/tour cycle activities and timelines, communicating them
effectively to partners
• Representing the company and clients with existing and potential partners within the touring industry
• Seek and develop additional marketing opportunities for artists by fostering relationships with current and prospective business contacts
• Constant communication with artist's team members
• Disciplined and detailed calendar management
• Management of internal systems and processes to streamline marketing efficiencies and records
• Oversight of support staff/interns on a regular basis
