FotoKem, a leading digital and film post-production facility in Burbank, is looking for a QC Operator to help support our dynamic and growing company. FotoKem provides creative and technical support to all major studios in Hollywood, and has been a respected part of the global film making community since 1963. We are looking for an experienced and capable candidate who will report to the Creative Services Operations Manager, and work alongside the diverse family of employees in FotoKem's film laboratory, digital services departments and audio houses.
Essential Job Functions:
• The applicant should have a strong understanding of video and file based formats including, IMF, DCP, MOV, DPX, TIFF, Dolby Vision Meta Data, HDR etc.… In addition it is critical that any applicant understand hardware and various software platforms such as Clipster, Doremi, Transkoder and Resolve.
• The ability to read and understand scopes is also key.
• Responsibilities include, but not limited to the quality control, to specifications of file based media.
• Ensure that job is within specifications from work order, able to communicate any discrepancies effectively to producers and or supervisor. Capable of filling in form reports, and at times, writing QC reports.
• Ability to work with and collaborate with others
Requirements:
• Requires person with high level of attention to detail, desire to ensure all work released meets all necessary standards, who can focus on the task at hand.
• Must work Swing Shift 3pm start
• Post Production experience is a plus.
• Position is Project Based with potential of becoming a full time employee.
