Data operator to support cloud archive operation. The nextLAB cloud archive team is looking for an operator to support the archive program. This role is a great introduction to our nextLAB suite of tools which is the start of all of our file based workflows beginning with dailies, through VFX, conform and archival deliverables. We are seeking a technical staff member to support restoring data from hard drive and LTO, organizing data, recreating the dailies pipeline utilizing Avid projects and camera original data, and identifying post finished assets. Upload via nextLAB to our client's cloud storage such as Disney's Wonderland, Netflix's Back lot/Content hub and Amazon S3. Complete daily reports and use of FotoKem production hub and Wiki page that outlines the work as it is completed. This job requires an understanding of both the dailies and editorial processes for both episodic and feature productions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal skills, must follow procedures as defined by lead team members and keep detailed notes.
Archive operators are responsible for: working independently, populating spread sheets in excel, updating multiple OEL's daily. Able to summarize end of shift notes and track multiple projects at different stages. General knowledge of file sizes & metrics.
Ideal candidates should be proficient with Mac OS and have practical experience in the post production process including but not limited to dailies, editorial, media management and DI finished assets.
