REPORTING TO : HEAD OF PRODUCTION OPERATIONS
LOCATION: LONDON, UK
We are looking to hire people who want to shape culture at scale. If you're exceptional at your craft, obsessed with storytelling, and thrive in high-standards environments, we want to hear from you.
As a Long-Form Video Editor, you'll play a critical role in transforming raw 9–13 camera footage into episodes that hold attention for millions worldwide. These retention-driven edits are the heartbeat of the show, conversations that change how people think, live, and work. You'll collaborate with a world-class production team, owning edits end-to-end, and continuously pushing what's possible in long-form storytelling on YouTube.
DAY-TO-DAY
• Edit and deliver weekly podcast episodes at the highest standard, crafting narratives that drive strong retention and emotional impact.
• Cut with precision: 9–13 multicam angles, multiple audio channels, pacing that keeps millions engaged.
• Collaborate closely with senior creatives, adapting quickly to feedback and evolving creative direction.
• Contribute to pre-production outlines and packaging to ensure alignment between recording and post.
• Conduct competitor and trend research to stay ahead of long-form YouTube standards.
• Share knowledge, systems, and best practices to raise the bar across the editing team.
• Maintain project files and workflows that are seamless, scalable, and production-ready.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Minimum 3 years professional editing experience, with a portfolio of long-form multicam edits (podcasts, interviews, documentaries).
• Advanced in Adobe Premiere Pro; comfortable with large multicam timelines, syncing, and file management.
• Deep instinct for pacing, rhythm, and story structure in long-form content.
• Understanding of retention curves and editing choices that maximise watch-time.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills.
• Growth mindset: proactive, solutions-oriented, and eager to experiment with new techniques.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
• Deliver long-form edits that consistently achieve high retention and millions of views.
• Contribute to a publishing cadence that ensures episodes release seamlessly every week.
• Elevate team standards by contributing workflows, systems, and creative direction.
• Help The Diary of a CEO remain the global leader in long-form podcast storytelling
LOCATION
• London or Los Angeles - we are an in-person-first culture and believe in fostering a vibrant and work environment centred around connection and community.
