Greetings! Fire Tower Entertainment, specializing in A&R and Management, is looking to bring on TWO LA-based Interns for the winter season. You will have holistic exposure to the artist development process and will be involved with every step from the first signing, through cutting a demo, through running promotion for the records. Qualifications are as follows:
1) Must be highly proactive and communicative. You are fast on email and text, and are not afraid to ask clarifying questions. The perfect candidate has been told (s)he is ''glued to their phone!'' -- as much of the work will occur remotely.
2) Must love pop and singer-songwriter styles and are highly attuned to current (and past) trends in pop culture and Hot 100 radio.
3) Have at least cursory experience scouting talent and a general understanding of the different tiers of artist development and A&R process.
4) You're dedicated to the music business as a lifestyle and not a job.
5) Must have a car and be available a minimum of two work days (10a-6p) per week, with occasional show and/or party attendance
6) Close attention to accuracy, and that any research sent to team has already been proofread and verified
7) Urgency! The industry shifts rapidly and it's important that any task discussed on company time be addressed as priority.
While college credit is offered, and there are several opportunities for interns to earn monetary bonuses throughout, it is currently not a paid internship.
