We are looking for an experienced enthusiastic executive producer who loves internet culture and has a knack for creating viral content. If you are a talented filmmaker obsessed with memes, trends, current events & pop culture and feel like your voice could help us add context to culture, you might be exactly who we have been searching for. An ideal candidate has a background in journalism and an ability to approach research and storytelling with like a documentarian.
The Executive Producer is a key leadership role for the FBE team and ensures the successful development, production, and delivery of digital web content for a series of producers, handling over eight shoots a week. A standout candidate is also able to identify trends within digital media that can be utilized to develop new creative and create amazing content that expands the catalog of programming across all O&O properties.
Our producers are leaders. They explore the frontier of internet culture to identify trends in digital media. They should be great researchers who are excited to dig in, using what they learn to write, produce and shepherd content from the spark of an idea to a polished video they are proud to share with our millions of subscribers. They are enthusiastic, energetic, and positive, and are an inspiring figure for the rest of our team.
This position reports to the Head of the Digital Studio and works closely with the Director of Production.

FBE's original content streams across multiple genres: scripted, non-scripted, animated, sketch, interactive, branded entertainment, VR, along with their well-known React shows, which helped define an entire genre of online video. Our innovative programming reaches over 25 million subscribers across the globe. The company's shows receive 300 million views on average each month, and its channels overall have more than 10 billion lifetime video views.
Primary Responsibilities:
Managing a team of producers & their projects from conception to release.
Researching, developing, and managing episodes from development through delivery.
Treating each episode with fresh, energetic attention and taking full ownership.
Ensuring productions are completed on time and within budget.
Assisting with episode casting, including finding and growing great series talent.
Approving and maintaining production schedules in collaboration with the Production Manager and Post Supervisor.
Ensuring deadlines are being met by all team members.
Prepping and executing physical production of shoots, including interviewing on-camera talent across all ages (eg. kids, senior citizens) and celebrities when needed.
Overseeing episodes through their journey from beginning to end, from pitches to post-production and delivery.
Participating in episode's live release; enthusiastically engaging with our fans and audience, and making thumbnail and title changes as appropriate.
Participating in regular review sessions.
Diving into analytics to understand how they affect series performance and using this information to shape and improve future creative.
Bringing your creativity to developing and producing new pilots and creative properties.
Collaborating with the Director of Production to review your assignments, satisfy deadlines and key milestones, and track ongoing progress.
Maintaining department documentation and communicating changes to all relevant team members.
Additional Duties:
Researching, monitoring, and being at the forefront of digital trends for potential creative.
Preparing and writing scripts, including fact research and verification.
Building and developing relationships with the audience, vendors, and digital community at large.
Anticipating and proactively resolving any production issues as they arise and work with management to find long-term solutions to ongoing problems.
Ensuring execution of client, agency, and company goals on all assigned brand deals
Proactively anticipating potential issues with episodes releasing on holidays or weekends, and providing coverage details/requests.
Providing promotional assets for their episodes as needed, including clip cut downs, GIFs, deleted scenes, copywriting, etc.
Ensuring all productions stay within the approved episode budget.
Requirements:
Experience and enthusiasm in creating digital content is a must (4+ years production/writing/directing, preferably in unscripted or commentary style content)
4+ years Management experience in digital media supervising producers
Positive leadership qualities exemplified by a passion for your work. and instilling those same feelings in colleagues and the people you lead.
Knowledge of social platforms (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Reddit etc.)
Strong awareness of YouTube & internet culture, memes, vernacular, pop culture etc.
The intuition for creating compelling and entertaining content, identify the ingredients that make a hit show and utilizing available resources with maximum efficiency
Excellent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
Flexibility in schedule and willing to work nights/weekends when necessary
Strong administrative skills and familiarity with all G Suite Applications
Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring all deadlines are met appropriately
Knowledge of video games and systems, including PlayStation, Xbox, PC, VR is a plus
