Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant -

The ideal candidate is a highly organized individual with outstanding communication and project management skills. Candidates must be self-motivated with a strong background in accounting. This position reports directly to the Manager of Finance and US Director of Finance. The role is a hybrid of remote and in-office based upon project needs.

Responsibilities include:

Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assist with monthly and annual close processes.
Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets
Maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conducting internal audits.
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Meet processing and reporting deadlines.
Manage various credit cards : import transactions, coding, and maintain proper back up
Perform monthly reconciliations for various divisions (Bank & Credit card)
Work with upper management, vendors, and other departments to ensure proper fiscal management
Assist the Finance Manager as needed
Support HR requests for information
Support in-office petty cash and credit card needs

Requirements:
Be self-motivated, proactive, well organized, accountable and detail oriented
Have the ability to anticipate needs, prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced, and high volume environment
Possess strong communication skills (written and oral)
Good follow-through on all projects, meeting deadlines and taking ownership of assigned tasks without undue supervision
Prior experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, intercompany, and other accounting functions
Proficient in, Excel, Word, Windows, and various accounting software
Experience in entertainment industry and production accounting
3+ Years of applicable work experience preferred
Bachelor's degree - (Accounting preferred)
