Senior Entertainment Payroll Coordinator

FilmUp is seeking an experienced Senior Entertainment Payroll Coordinator to support payroll operations for film, television, commercial, and digital productions across the United States.
This role is ideal for someone with prior experience at an entertainment payroll company, production accounting department, or payroll service provider who understands the complexities of union and non-union payroll.
The Payroll Coordinator will work directly with producers, line producers, production accountants, cast, crew, and talent representatives to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with SAG-AFTRA, DGA, IATSE, Teamsters, and state employment regulations.
Responsibilities include:
• Reviewing onboarding documents, I-9s, W-4s, state tax forms, and direct deposit information
• Processing weekly payroll for cast and crew
• Reviewing timecards, start paperwork, deal memos, and payroll adjustments
• Coordinating with production accountants and producers regarding payroll questions
• Supporting SAG-AFTRA payroll administration, including Exhibit G tracking and reporting
• Assisting with union reporting and benefit contributions
• Managing employee inquiries related to paychecks, direct deposit, tax forms, and onboarding
• Supporting multi-state payroll compliance requirements
• Maintaining accurate payroll records and documentation
• Working closely with FilmUp's software and operations teams to improve payroll workflows
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of entertainment payroll experience preferred
• Prior experience with Cast & Crew, Entertainment Partners, ABS Payroll, Media Services, Wrapbook, Greenslate, or a production accounting department strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of SAG-AFTRA payroll requirements required
• DGA, IATSE, and Teamster payroll experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience working remotely preferred.
Salary/Benefits
$70,000 - $95,000 /year USD
