FilmRise, an industry leading streaming entertainment company, is looking to hire a Financial Analyst who possesses demonstrable quantitative analysis, project management and interpersonal communication skills. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of financial and/or data analysis experience at a relevant business (media company, investment bank, management consultant, venture-backed start up, etc.). The person in this role will be a key part of the team responsible for financial reporting, KPI tracking, and data-driven strategic planning.
Responsibilities:
Function:
-Enhance and assist in the management of the Company's Finance functions (including, but not limited to):
-Develop reports, analyses, and benchmarks for internal and external stakeholders
-Generate recurring monthly, quarterly, and/or annual reporting-leveraging business intelligence tools to aggregate and structure large data sets
-Assist in researching, designing, and tracking strategic initiatives-applying quantitative and qualitative analyses
-Analyze and report Company, industry, and market KPIs to key stakeholders.
-Participate in creating and implementing financial and corporate goal setting and accountability processes
-Manage day-to-day financial data extraction, transformation and loading processes to be used by the Company's Accounting, Finance, and Strategy functions
-Assist in evaluating organic and inorganic growth opportunities-including conducting due diligence of potential IP, media asset, and/or corporate acquisitions
-Develop due diligence materials for debt, equity, joint venture, and/or other capital market opportunities pursed by the Company
-Perform ad-hoc analyses for Management with the ability to articulate an independent perspective in support of your position
General:
-Able to present to, and engage with, senior management
-Comfortable making complex decisions
-Contribute to the growth and culture of the Company
-Willing and excited to be a 'utility and team player' within a dynamic, expanding company
Experience / Skills:
-2+ years in related roles (investment bank, management consultant, media company, finance/strategy role at a growth company, etc.).
-Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, business, or another related field
-Must have demonstrable financial and data analysis skills
-Solid foundation of performing and presenting quantitative analyses to a wide range of stakeholders
-Must have exceptional Excel and other Microsoft Office skills
-Experience using Alteryx (or other ETL workflow tools), and/or foundational knowledge of SQL and Python, preferred
-Previous professional experience at a growing / start up environment, a plus
-Entertainment / Media Experience, a plus, but not required
-NetSuite experience, a plus
