This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
Externship Duration -- 2024 Spring Semester (January - May)
Commitment -- minimum 2 full work days/week (3-5 preferred), hours ranging 10am-6pm
Workplace Location -- hybrid in either New York or Los Angeles offices, or 100% remote
This externship is part time and unpaid. Candidates must be eligible to receive academic credit.
FilmNation Entertainment, an independent entertainment company focused on the sales representation of international film rights, as well as the development, production, and financing of feature films, television series and podcasts, is seeking legal interns/externs for a Spring 2024 externship.
This externship experience is intended to advance and expand externs' education by providing them with training in drafting, problem solving, negotiation and legal research and analysis. Under the supervision of the Business & Legal Affairs team, externs will be exposed to various facets of international, entertainment and intellectual property law, will participate in regular seminars with the FilmNation staff, and will undertake a semester long research project, culminating in a final presentation given to FilmNation staff.
Who you are:
• A current student enrolled in an accredited law school externship program
• L2 or L3 students preferred
• Strong and confident communication and writing skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive, self-starting attitude
• Passion for Film and the Entertainment Industry
