Position Overview
Film2Future is a nonprofit based in Los Angeles, working to create a more diverse and inclusive entertainment industry by offering intensive filmmaking instruction to underserved students. The Digital Community Engagement Manager will execute an impactful strategy to grow and engage Film2Future's network using social media, digital newsletters, our website, and other digital strategies.
Job Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of Film2Future's social media (Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook) with a goal to increase awareness, followers, and engagement
Create and follow a social media calendar with input and feedback from organization leadership, including organic and paid social media activities
Design and execute impactful online fundraising campaigns, including for Giving Tuesday, end of year giving, and various events throughout the year
Utilize social media to monitor and engage around current events, partner events, and trending topics in order to further the awareness and mission of the organization
Keep website up to date with events and updates and engage in ongoing efforts to improve search performance ranking
Maintain organization's brand guide, integrating feedback as received and ensuring all content is consistent with it
Lead the drafting, revision, and distribution of digital newsletters to stakeholders, utilizing data to continuously improve engagement and impact of these efforts
Analyze data to assess effectiveness of posts/campaign and refine ongoing efforts
Create content for social media channels using video footage, photos, quotes, etc
Organize assets and releases on Google Drive for ongoing use
Maintain professional communications with partners and speakers while creating posts
Qualifications
At least two years of experience managing organic and paid social media activities, ideally within the nonprofit and/or film industries
Demonstrated success growing and managing an online community
Proficient in graphic design, website management (using WordPress), digital newsletters (MailChimp), and video editing
High level of attention to detail and ability to design and execute a plan, integrating information and feedback from multiple stakeholders
Experience executing successful online fundraising campaigns strongly preferred
Lived or worked experience with our prospective student population a plus
Knowledge of the film and/or entertainment industry a plus
Experience engaging talent and high level professionals in social media campaigns is helpful
Bilingual, English-Spanish speaking a plus
Due to work with minors, all employees of Film2Future must be fully vaccinated against COVID except in the case of limited allowable exemptions, and must be able to pass a background check
Valid Driver's License and access to vehicle for travel as needed (mileage will be reimbursed for local travel as required)
