We are a non-profit global competition for young adults 14 to 24 in partnership with YouTube, and with support by Apple, Best Buy, Red Cross, Sony Pictures and others.
We are working to engage young adults in issues, and our 2010 competition is asking for solutions to front-burner issues, in the form of 3 minute videos, as well as a new ''Issue Song'' competition.
We are looking for a really web-savvy dynamic person/s to intern to help spread the word on the net about our two competitions. While previous experience isn't required, we are looking for dynamic, web-conversant candidates who take initiative, are aware of social hubs and how to generate buzz. The music area, in particular, is important to us, for the song component.
While you will receive minimum wage, initially, we have hired interns in the past for paid work, and we are well-connected across the media world.
The solutions competition is in partnership with YouTube, at filmyourissue.
The Song Competition is in partnership with NAMM, and also on YouTube at WhatsYourIssueMusic.
Videos will be presented to senior officials in the Obama administration, at a VIP reception in Washington, DC, and at an Awards Ceremony co-hosted by Sony Pictures.
Song winner will also be flown to Los Angeles to perform at Awards Ceremony co-hosted by Sony Pictures, and at NAMM Annual Show for 85,000 music industry professionals.
We need help getting the word out virally on the net, to where young people congregate, especially those who are socially conscious, and/ or musical.
Contact us if you have necessary skills. We're all ears!
