FerenComm is currently seeking candidates for our Spring 2020 Internship Program
This is a great opportunity to learn the inner workings of a public relations agency that specializes in cable television networks/programs. Clients include AMC, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, SONY Crackle, CNBC, WEtv, BBC America, IFC, Sundance TV, SundanceNow, SONY and more.
Our publicists promote our clients through print, electronic and online media as well as special events. You will gain much needed hands-on experience by working in a team oriented environment, alongside our skilled PR professionals. Our ideal intern should be passionate about television, self-motivated, and demonstrate the ability to multi task and pay attention to details. Be personable, organized, and professional.
This is a non-paid position. Our agency will provide up to $20 stipend for transportation and lunch.
INTERN DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
-Review Publications for Breaks
-Monitor, clip and scan articles and save to the server
-Maintain client files and reports (status reports & call notes)
-Research, compile press kits, build and update media lists
-Produce press materials
-Assist in mailings, press outreach, and event planning
-Support administratively as needed, including picking up magazines/newspapers
-End of semester press strategy internship project
-''Hands-on'' job simulation
INTERN REQUIREMENT:
-Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Photoshop, Power Point, Google Drive
-Communication, Journalism, Marketing, and PR majors preferred
-Minimum commitment of 2 or 3 days/week
-Please note: Attire is business casual in our office
Ideally Interns should be able to receive college credit or provide a letter from an accredited university explaining how this internship applies to their academic/professional track.
