ABOUT FENWAY SPORTS MANAGEMENT:
Fenway Sports Management (FSM) is a global sports marketing firm that specializes in partnership sales, consulting, and the creation of unique and memorable events and experiences. The company serves as the sponsorship sales arm for Fenway Sports Group (FSG)'s prestigious sports portfolio, including the Boston Red Sox, Liverpool Football Club (LFC), New England Sports Network (NESN), Roush Fenway Keselowski (RFK) Racing, and most recently the Pittsburgh Penguins. In addition to representing FSG's network of properties, FSM also serves as the exclusive marketing agency for LeBron James through a strategic partnership with LRMR Ventures.
Outside of sponsorship sales, FSM serves as the sports marketing agency to several brands, advising them on how to use sports as a platform to realize their business goals through a variety of services including strategy development, negotiation, and activation. The firm is also an industry leader with its Special Events practice which creates, plans, executes a broad spectrum of unique sports and entertainment events that range from large-scale, public events at iconic sports venues, to private, corporate events.
SUMMARY OF JOB:
The Coordinator, Partnership Solutions is a creative story-telling and innovative thinker who will help support the FSM sales and consulting teams in building new revenue generation opportunities across FSM's national/global properties and providing customized partnership solutions for potential brand partners. The Coordinator, Partnership Solutions will report to the VP, Partnership Solutions while working closely with the FSM sales and business development teams, as well as key marketing, activation, community relations, operations, insights and digital content teammates as needed across each respective property.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the development and ideation of commercial marketing platforms across FSM's national/global portfolio of clients including but not limited to LFC, Pittsburgh Penguins, Springhill Company, RFK Racing and FSM's Brand Consulting & Events division
• Work with the sales and creative services teams to guide the narrative and creative direction for all sales presentations
• Work with FSM and each respective property's data and analytics teams to identify key insights for sales materials and presentations
• Help manage and identify available assets across each respective property, as well as building new inventory and assets where needed while identifying opportunities across key business stakeholders and departments (i.e. community relations, marketing, group sales, operations, etc.)
• Build impactful partnership packages that will help a brand accomplish key objectives and KPI's
• Collaborate and help lead brainstorming sessions across FSM and each respective property
• Participate in sales meetings with FSM sales/new business reps as needed
• Support the FSM sales/new business team in prospecting strategy efforts, including identifying key categories, brands and marketing initiatives to leverage
• Help ideate/develop physical/digital outreach campaigns to be utilized in outreach efforts
• Help lead prospecting hospitality/events in the NYC area
• Help develop and evolve each properties go-to-market narrative/overview story
• Assist in the narrative/creation of sizzle video content tied to marquee assets and opportunities
• Assist with workflow best practices and efficiencies across FSM
• Compile and gain insights from market research across sports and entertainment industries to share collectively across FSM
• Support and identify best practices and cross-property opportunities that can exist across all FSG properties
• Become a platform expert in select marketing platform initiatives (i.e. sustainability, women's empowerment, diversity, equity and inclusion, etc.) in order to be a thought leader for other FSG properties
• Other duties as assigned
CHARACTERISITICS / QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree (degree in marketing, business administration, sports management, communications, etc.)
• 2-3 years of experience with brand strategy, activation, and/or sponsorship sales in a team, league, brand, agency or corporate setting
• Passion for sports marketing, media, promotion, and sponsorship sales
• Innovative and well-organized with a strong work ethic and a desire/willingness to learn
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong storytelling capabilities
• Past experience in developing sales presentations
• Innovation and creative mindset, but commercially driven/curiosity
• Passion for purpose driven partnerships, including but not limited to sustainability, diversity, inclusion and equality, community, etc.
• Ability to build strong relationships both internally across the organization, as well as externally with clients and third-party organizations
• Aggressive, self-motivated team player that has the ability to focus on individual and team goals
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at once
• Must be able to travel locally, work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
