Fairchild Media Group: Executive Editor, Video
We are looking for a senior leader to grow and develop our content strategy for video across FMG. In this role, the Executive Editor, Video will work closely with editorial leadership at each brand and business-side leadership to develop a strategic plan for video programming which will include: daily news, video franchises and shows, and custom content.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a strong background in video who can develop a cohesive strategy for video programming.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute an editorial strategy for FMG brands which should include daily news, ideation and creation of video shows that enhance brand reach and custom content.
• Hire, lead, motivate and develop a video team including full time staff and freelancers.
• Grow and manage the day-to-day operations of the video team while managing vendor relations and a department budget.
• Work with social media team on strategy to maximize video potential across all social platforms.
• Facilitate strategic partnerships in the marketplace where mutual value can be built in collaboration.
• Work closely with key corporate teams, such as SEO, to understand performance and evolve new program proposals according to feedback.
• Build a strong relationship with FMG Studio to leverage video expertise for developing commercial packages for Fairchild Studio and deals that in parallel bring key editorial tentpoles to life.
• Foster a positive work environment and culture of collaboration and innovation
