We are seeking a proactive and people-focused Central Production Manager to support our Seoul (SEO) and Hyderabad (HYD) studios, owning day-to-day Production operations and helping our teams deliver world-class visual effects at scale. You'll work within global frameworks set by the Global Central Production Manager and Directors of VFX Production, while providing local ownership and continuity for Production in SEO/HYD.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the site-level owner for Production operations in SEO and HYD, ensuring Production teams are supported, informed, and aligned with global standards.
Lead day-to-day resourcing, vacation approvals, and coverage planning for Production staff in SEO/HYD, in partnership with Producers and the Central Production Manager.
Coordinate ShotGrid show setup and closure for SEO/HYD shows, applying global templates, workflows and conventions and ensuring clean, consistent data.
Oversee time log, overtime, and weekend-work administration in the region, ensuring accuracy, timely approvals, and compliance with company policies.
Support and coordinate post-mortems for local shows as requested, capturing actions, ensuring follow-through, and surfacing systemic issues to global leadership.
Help drive implementation of global workflows and Production standards locally:
• Maintain local checklists, guides, and how-tos.
• Run walkthroughs and refreshers when changes roll out.
• • Model best practices and champion adoption in SEO/HYD.
Partner with the Central Production Manager and Talent/HR to support recruitment for Production roles in SEO/HYD:
• Participate in interviews.
• Provide structured feedback and level recommendations.
Support onboarding for new Production hires in SEO/HYD by ensuring they understand how we work: core workflows, tools, expectations, and ways of working with show teams.
Help define and maintain clear standards for how Production operates locally (e.g., communication norms, basic workflows, tool usage), in alignment with global Production leadership.
Develop and deliver Production training sessions for SEO/HYD (for example: ShotGrid usage, show workflows, production skills), and provide practical examples and feedback to help evolve global Production training.
Act as a day-to-day resource and mentor for junior Production staff, helping them build confidence in both the technical and interpersonal aspects of their role.
Provide Production support for special initiatives impacting SEO/HYD (e.g. new tools or automations), acting as the local execution partner for global projects.
Maintain clear, regular communication with the Central Production Manager and Director of VFX, providing visibility into local needs, risks, and opportunities, and helping to align SEO/HYD with global Production goals.
Other duties and ad-hoc responsibilities consistent with the position may be assigned from time to time.
