Part Time Unpaid Internship
Content Writer
Responsible To: Head of Media Content of EveryGirl and Contributing Editor
Role: Remote duration 3 months with 1 year optional
Type of Role: Internship, Unpaid (5- 8 hours per week)
Job Purpose
This position will shape the EveryGirl digital magazine through compelling articles that cover various topics. Articles written will help set the tone for future editions. You will also assist fellow writers in curating their ideas in a writer's room setting.

Essential Functions
• Write articles focused on the following topics: Current Events and News (including activism news), Science and STEM, Entertainment (arts, culture/books/music/podcasts)
• Write articles on teen girl 'changemakers'
• Pitch ideas for articles in a group setting
• Produce content every two weeks
• Collaborate with different teams to create content
• Vast interest and knowledge in today's popular culture impacting teen girls
• Attend weekly routine meetings
Skills and Qualifications
• Knowledge of preferred topic
• Proficiency in Google Suite
• Has availability to devote at least 5 hours per week
• A high level of professional judgment to organize, plan and manage multiple projects and priorities
• Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of a team
• Deadline orientated with the ability to juggle a myriad of details while maintaining a big-picture strategic view
