Seeking a YouTube Story Producer (Writer/Producer) for a very successful YouTube Series (Over 15 Million Subscribers across 4 channels). Content is a unique hybrid of scripted and freestyle (Ad-lib) storytelling combining genres of family-friendly adventure, action, mystery, and challenge videos. Imagine fictional serialized content (Stranger Things, Lost, Breaking Bad) combined with the 'in real life' vlog style of YouTube while being appropriate for all ages.
You'll be working closely with a small team of creators to ideate and develop current and future storylines that weave across multiple YouTube channels. You'll then be responsible for detailing out individual videos, creating beat sheets and outlines for creators in advance of production. Must have a strong background in writing and storytelling, preference to writers with scripted content background.
Must have a willingness to learn basic production techniques and how your scripted content could impact logistics of filming. Assisting with production on set will likely occur once per week. Must be willing to develop a passion for the unique writing requirements to succeed on YouTube, social media, and new digital media formats. Please send a cover letter with links of past writing / portfolio as well as any current favorite YouTube channels that you follow with an explanation of why you subscribe to them.
