Event Services Group is seeking a Costume and Wardrobe Coordinator to support our Entertainment & Wardrobe department. This entry-level role is perfect for someone eager to grow their skills in costume coordination and contribute to creative event productions.
The Wardrobe Coordinator will assist with a range of administrative and operational tasks related to costuming for entertainment and event production. Reporting to the Head of Wardrobe, this role requires strong organizational skills, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Costume Shop Management: Oversee daily operations of the costume shop, including all aspects of costume construction and fabrication. Responsibilities include procurement of materials and supplies, pattern creation, pricing, project scheduling, and coordination of additional labor as needed.
Inventory and Storage: Organize and maintain the work and storage areas, serving as the primary manager for costume inventory.
Fittings and Alterations: Supervise and schedule costume fittings, as well as perform necessary alterations, mending, dyeing, pressing, and steaming.
Wardrobe Logistics and Shipments: Responsible for receiving, unpacking, packing, and returns (if applicable.) Plan and manage the transportation of costumes and related items between the costume shop and event.
Purchasing: Where construction and fabrication are not required, role will act as the principal shopper or buyer to procure required looks in collaboration with department heads.
Staffing: Schedule wardrobe contractors, ensuring seamless integration into and timely delivery of projects.
Creative Collaboration: Work closely with creative (Fabrication, Décor, Talent and/or Music) and aligned operational teams to develop solutions and finalize plans for costume designs and execution.
Documentation and Planning: Prepare all necessary paperwork to support costume execution, including SOPs, costume plots, laundry schedules, and dry-cleaning schedules.
Wardrobe Maintenance: Manage daily wardrobe organization, maintenance, laundry, and repairs, including mending, stitching, altering, or replacing items as needed, ensuring existing product and assets are consistently in show-ready condition.
Hair, Wigs, and Makeup: Supervise haircut, wig, and makeup maintenance, including hiring professional contractors when required.
Budgeting and Procurement: Inform leadership of department needs, prepare comparative quotes and bids as requested, and manage budgeting for costume-related expenses.
Pricing: Coordinate and oversee the acquisition of pricing guidelines or quotes for costumes needed for an event, ensuring timely and accurate information to support budgeting and planning.
Prop Coordination: Oversee the preparation, usage, and maintenance of props associated with talent requests, including construction, alteration, and repair as necessary.
Collaboration and Environment: Foster a positive and enjoyable working environment while collaborating with the entire event team.
Event Preparation: Ensure wardrobe and props meet event requirements and oversee talent-related costume and prop preparation.
Additional Responsibilities (as applicable):
Rental Management: Track and manage rented costume items, ensuring proper invoicing, restoration, packaging, and return of pieces in their original condition.
Research and development of trends and innovative costume solutions.
Budget management for costumes, props, and related expenses.
