Job Title: Producer/Content Creator - Los Ángeles NOW (Spanish-Language News Discussion Show)
About the Show:
Los Ángeles NOW is a bold, community-centered Spanish-language news discussion show that brings together headlines, community stories, and dynamic conversation. Rooted in the values of faith, family, and hard work, the 3-hour daily program offers fresh takes on local and national issues, often driven by real voices from the NOW Local News App.
Job Summary:
We're looking for a versatile Producer/Content Creator to help power Los Ángeles NOW behind the scenes and on camera. This is a hybrid role that combines live show production, editorial collaboration, on-camera appearances and digital content creation. The producer will lead the daily rundown, switch the show live during the broadcast, join the on-air conversation when relevant, pitch and shape compelling segments, and contribute to social and digital platforms. The Producer/Content Creator is the show's engine, driving the content while staying nimble enough to jump into the conversation. This role is perfect for a creative, multitasking newsroom mind who wants to shape the direction of a show-while also being ready to grab a mic when the conversation calls.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create and manage the daily rundown, ensuring a community-focused, engaging structure for a 3-hour live news discussion show.
• Direct and switch the show live, managing camera cuts, graphics, and video playback during the broadcast.
• Collaborate closely with the host, panelists, and executive producer to develop strong segments, book guests, and assign responsibilities to team members.
• Pitch and produce story ideas, panel topics, and community-driven content.
• Write and edit scripts and segment outlines in Spanish (*Sometimes in English as well)
• Edit video packages and clips for air and digital use.
• Participate in on-air discussions when editorial insight or real-time producer context is needed.
• Use the NOW Local News App to solicit and incorporate videos and stories that elevate the community's voice.
• Post content to Estrella's digital platforms, including the NOW Local News App and social media.
• Stay connected to the issues, people, and trends shaping Los Angeles' Latino communities.
• Attend local community events as needed.
Qualifications:
• Experience producing or directing live television, podcasts, or streaming content.
• Strong Spanish-language writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency with video switchers and production software (e.g., vMix, OBS, TriCaster, or similar).
• Comfort jumping into on-camera discussions when needed.
• Solid editorial instincts, news judgment and writing skills.
• Video editing skills (Adobe Premiere or similar tools).
• Familiarity with posting and engaging on social media platforms.
• A deep understanding of and connection to the Latino communities of Los Angeles.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, and creative environment.
• Fluent in Spanish (spoken and written) required; conversational English preferred
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in Burbank, CA.
• Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background investigation.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be willing to work overtime on short notice.
• Must be 18 years or older
