EST N8 is seeking independent, proactive, and motivated International Interns. Interns will gain hands-on experience across key workstreams including Film Acquisitions, International Sales, Festival Strategy, Marketing & PR, Distribution Delivery & Operations, and Research & AI Automation, offering in-depth exposure to the global film business.
Workstreams to select from
Acquisitions: You will bridge the gap between discovery and deal-making. This role involves scouting filmmakers and evaluating new projects across Asian markets, then drafting the research briefs and market-fit analyses used to identify our next major acquisition.
Festivals: You will navigate the global premiere circuit by mapping out the optimal trajectory for our slate. You will manage complex submission calendars and track eligibility rules while maintaining relationships with programmers to maximize filmmaker exposure and generate downstream value.
International Sales: You will help drive the commercial life of a film on the world stage. You will identify high-value global distributors/platforms and territory buyers, then build the outreach materials and sales decks that move these partners toward a deal while tracking the interest pipeline across the globe.
Marketing & PR: You will shape how the world perceives our slate by defining the unique messaging for each title. You will manage B2B newsletters, social campaigns, and press tracking to coordinate international publicity and ensure each film not only stands out in a crowded market, but attracts the attention of the right buyers.
Distribution Delivery & Operations: You will master the technical backbone of the industry by auditing contractual agreements to ensure all deal terms are met from a project management perspective. You will build and refine internal systems to lead the movement of film materials and legal documents, ensuring every asset meets the rigorous standards of global buyers while interfacing directly with producers.
Research & AI Automation: You will advance the company’s research, localization and efficiency capabilities by identifying automation/AI tools and integrations that maximize team bandwidth. You will develop systems to enhance all core operations – from acquisitions and sales to festivals and marketing. Your goal is to build the infrastructure that automates manual tasks, allowing the team to focus on high-level strategy and growth.
Who You Are
We are looking for students or recent graduates with a deep curiosity for the mechanics of the film business. You must be highly organized, comfortable navigating complex projects in a remote environment, and a precise communicator. This role is designed for those looking to develop tangible, resume-ready expertise in an unpaid capacity or for course credit. Proficiency in English is required; fluency in one or more Asian languages and previous exposure to Asian cinema are significant advantages.
