Part-Time Syndication Support Coordinator
Job Summary:
This position is the center of a highly coordinated and dynamic workflow that delivers content to multiple continents. Successful candidates will be able to seamlessly track and implement multiple, detailed priorities to ensure our sales obligations are fulfilled. In addition, this position will act as the main point of contact for our syndication content; ensuring the day-to-day transactions between sales, clients and production are handled smoothly and efficiently. An outgoing communication style across multiple departments, levels and countries is a must.
Some example of this position's scope include:
• Administers / coordinates / supports aspects of one or several semi-routine processes specific to ESPN International's Syndication group.
• Receives general instructions on semi-routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments
• Scope of administrative / coordination / support activities typically includes one or more comprehensive administrative / research processes, procedures or programs
• Recognizes deviation from accepted practices and takes appropriate next steps
• Conducts tasks and aspects of projects to support semi-routine productions
• Work is subject to regular and close review and scrutiny and is supervised and reviewed for timeliness, accuracy and correct procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Processes and coordinates Syndication orders with the Media Technologies group.
• Coordinates with the Manager and Production Facilities to schedule in-house and third-party edit suites for Syndication program edits. Also coordinates material delivery to third party vendor for transcription services
• Ensures the timely and accurate delivery of Syndication material and assets via live feed, file, tape and hard drive.
• Coordinates with Remote Traffic and Third Party vendor to arrange for transmission of Syndication remote events
• Performs a wide range of administrative, analytical and clerical tasks specific to Syndication
• Supports assigned productions and related projects, provides administrative and process support to assigned productions
• Tracks flow of Syndication assets; via Syndication system for Tencent, Echonet, Sony India and other Syndication Brand partners.
• Coordinates feeds of NHRA and X Games highlight shows, ESPN Studio shows, NCAA March Madness and other Ad hoc events to clients
• Performs quality control checks for X Games highlight shows, which include but not limited to Summer and Winter events.
• Liaises with the Production Support group and the International Assignment Desk for feeds of live events to various Syndication clients/Partners.
Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of 1 years of related administrative, production support or related industry
• Detail oriented with the ability to problem solve and multitask in a fast pace environment
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of sports and television production
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, NCS, Workfront, AIS, Esearch and Quantel
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree in communications, media studies, or other relevant major or equivalent work experience
Additional Information:
Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
