This is a Full Time Job
The Sports Marketing Assistant will have a hybrid role with dual responsibilities comprised of equal parts traditional administrative functions and marketing coordinator functions.
We seek an ambitious, passionate sports marketing professional for whom no task is too small, or too large. Candidate should be a go-getter-resourceful, energetic, responsible, reliable, willing to learn, and an excellent listener. The employee will take pride in the executive administrative function, and thrive in the development of sponsorship and advertising concepts.
The vision is for this employee is to join the organization at an introductory level, perform both areas of responsibility at a high level for a number of years, then advance to a Sports Marketing Coordinator position.
Responsibilities
• Administrative Responsibilities:
• Support the Vice President/s Sports Marketing and team
• Schedule/calendar management
• Phone answering/messages
• Travel coordination
• Expense Report submission and tracking
• Office supplies/materials
• Liaison with facilities to assist onboarding new employees, office needs
• Meeting needs (meals, A/V requirements)
• Handle cell phone/tablet upgrade needs at appropriate times
• Sports Marketing Coordinator Functions:
• Support the assigned Sports Marketing Team/s
• Prepare meeting agendas
• Distribute post-meeting notes with clear follow-ups
• Update team project status documents
• Organize cross-department meetings and updates
• Have deep knowledge of sports within sportfolio to inform strategies
• Organize ticket requests and respond to league partner ticket needs
• Provide input into sales and marketing work flows
Basic Qualifications
• Proficiency in Outlook suite of services (word, ppt, Excel), Google applications
• Passion for sports, advertising, sponsorship sales, media, technology
• Excellent communication skills, ability to be proactive and anticipate needs of the group
Preferred Qualifications
• Completed ESPN Internship
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree in related field.
