Job Summary:
An opportunity exists to join this dynamic business as a Senior Financial Analyst on its Technology Planning team. To help in the investment of the DTCI segment it is critical we have capital insight and overview. This position is an intricate role in organization and will directly support the success of the segment.
This role is responsible for supporting the financial management of DTCI's Technology organization, with a focus on capital project and spend. This position requires working closely with Technology leaders to establish financial plans, evaluate strategic concepts, present recommendations, and analyze projects. This group needs an SFA that has the ability to manage many stakeholders and build solid relationships throughout. This person will partner with the Technology team to deliver on the strategic, financial and operational goals of the business. The SFA will be comfortable with large amounts of data and able to analyze proficiently in order to derive succinct conclusions.
The ability to manage an ever changing, dynamic environment with confidence will be critical to success. In addition, a successful candidate will look for opportunities to drive efficiency in processes and be willing to challenge the status quo.
The responsibilities of this position do not include management of direct reports. The position reports to the Finance Director – Technology Planning.
Responsibilities:
The role requires the ability to manage a diverse portfolio of work and multi-task across numerous ad-hoc projects including, but not limited to, the following:
• Develop, maintain and manage the capital budgets, forecasts, long-range plans, and associated models for DTCI Technology
• Partner with Technology department managers, project managers, Financial Planning, and Accounting to analyze spend, track performance, and update forecasts.
• Partner with Technology and Project leaders to ensure fiscal responsibility and manage budgets and spend while identifying trends, concerns and solutions.
• Ensure sound understanding of corporate policy and provide guidance as appropriate
• Adhere to all tax, compliance, accounting, and enterprise policies and procedures
• Support the planning capital allocations and partner with team members to ensure complete and accurate allocations
• Work with key stakeholders and finance team members to improve the effectiveness of the financial planning process, assumptions and results
• Prepare management reporting and analysis regarding capital and partner with team members to ensure cohesive reporting to executive leaders
• Support and prepare ad hoc special projects, financial analysis and reporting
• Support close functions while partnering with Accounting
Basic Qualifications:
• 3 years of related work experience
• Excellent relationship building skills and customer focused
• Prior exposure and experience working directly with senior leaders
• Strong solving and time management skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access) and reporting applications. Expert level in Excel.
• Proven abilities regarding excellent attention to detail
• Proactive and possess a hands-on, collaborative working style. Takes initiative.
• Results oriented with a high standard for quality and performance, strong work ethic, able to prioritize and resolve an array of issues simultaneously
• Previous work experience in financial planning and analysis preferred
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Accounting
Preferred Education
• CPA preferred
• Experience COGNOS preferred
