Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly accomplished and dynamic individual who is looking to establish a career in media. This role will be responsible for content distribution of The Walt Disney Company's U.S. portfolio of media networks including ABC, Disney Channel, Freeform, FX, ESPN and National Geographic. The Affiliate Sales group works with cable operators and digital partners to bring programming to TV, OTT and mobile devices. The job provides for a unique opportunity to contribute at the ground-level while learning about the media/entertainment industry and discovering the myriad career paths available at Disney, ESPN, and beyond. The Sales Coordinator role thrives in a fast-paced and energetic team environment, which requires individuals to establish partnerships with each member of the team and become a strong contributor to the achievement of departmental sales goals. The Sales Coordinator role will support the team to help define, execute and post merchandise strategic partnerships to advance our distribution priorities.
Responsibilities:
• Supports the Affiliate Sales team at all levels and assigned affiliate partners on a day-to-day basis.
• Assists with the implementation of new and ongoing sales efforts for assigned affiliates.
• Supports the team (Account Managers, Director and Vice President) in the development of sales presentations, merchandise, monthly reports, tickets to events for affiliates, and other related materials to increase the viewership and subscribers of affiliate partners.
• Manages the team's discretionary budget, including timely process of invoices and monthly updates of funds remaining.
• Collaborates with internal partners including legal, business strategy, finance and marketing to achieve consensus and advance distribution priorities.
• Aggregates and synthesizes research for affiliates to provide value stories for the sales team.
• Manages small affiliate accounts including building key relationships with decision makers and selling new products and services.
• Builds internal network of The Walt Disney Company colleagues to aid in self-learning and support job function.
Basic Qualifications:
• Related administrative or sales support experience.
• Strong written, verbal, organization and computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Has basic project management and multitasking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to take direction and meet deadlines.
• Some travel required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant support experience in a sales environment would be an advantage.
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
