Part-Time Radio Producer
Job Summary:
The Part-Time Radio Producer produces ESPN Radio content for over-the-air and digital distribution; works daily with Program Director on short and long-range content planning; communicates daily expectations and delivers feedback to talent and staff on show unit.
Responsibilities:
• Maps out the shows topic and direction with host and Program Director.
• Maintains contacts and relationships with potential newsmakers.
• Works with Talent on execution show elements.
• Creates Show features and bits.
• Monitors our remote transmitter equipment, which includes taking our required meter readings.
• Must follow specific rules regarding appropriate content and indecency regulations.
• Contributes to the selection of on-air guests and content decisions for shows with the consent of Program Director.
• Develops and supports talk show topics.
• Directs talent on mechanics and fundamentals (resets, promotion mentions).
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sports talk show producing.
• Experience operating a radio board.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with digital editing and digital platforms such as Wide Orbit.
• Working knowledge of ISDN and Comrex Access setup.
Required Education
• High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
