Job Summary:
- The Project Production Assistant – Digital & Social Content will handle the bulk of rights management tasks for ESPN's growing Digital and Social Content team. Primary responsibilities include; running daily reports to identify and resolve missing metadata, reviewing posted content on native platforms to ensure compliance, and recording necessary rights & clearance information into applicable tracking systems. Additional responsibilities may include; advising social editors on best practices, conducting research upon request, and other data entry initiatives. This role will report to the Digital Content Growth Manager.
This is an 18 month project.
Responsibilities:
• Run reports to identify posts that require additional metadata or rights and clearance information.
• Complete required fields within Spredfast to improve reporting accuracy.
• View social posts utilizing footage with a critical eye towards rights & clearance obligations.
• Record all required rights and clearance information (e.g. rightsholder, duration, etc.) into ESheets.
• Seek guidance from the Content Rights Management group regarding unidentifiable or unique content.
• Ensure compliance across the larger team by encouraging accountability and escalating concerns to management when appropriate.
• Assume various projects as assigned and/or approved by department management, providing progress reports, target date for completion, and follow-up.
Basic Qualifications:
• Performs repetitive tasks with accuracy and a positive attitude.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Can reliably handle a high and consistent volume of data entry tasks.
• Familiarity with social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, etc.).
• Possesses a high level of organizational and communication skills; both written and oral.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Must possess the ability to navigate ESPN's internal applications (e.g. ESheets) as well as 3rd party applications (e.g. Spredfast).
• Skilled at prioritizing tasks based on time-sensitivity, importance, and business impact.
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with other internal stakeholders (e.g. Content Rights Management, Legal, Business Operations, etc.).
Required Education
• High School Diploma
Preferred Education
• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
