This is a Full Time Job
This is a one year, project position for a Coordinating Designer in the Motion Graphics department. This Coordinating Designer is a storyteller, responsible for the creation, deployment, and maintenance of virtual studio graphics and technologies at an advanced proficiency level. This position collaborates directly with production clients, operations teams and vendors to keep project expectations, timelines, and deliverables on track. This is a hands-on position requiring individuals who possess strong conceptualization skills, in-depth knowledge of how to execute virtual graphics, the ability to offer unique creative solutions, change direction easily, push the graphic design and technology envelope to new levels. The candidate must actively communicate on all phases of a project and follow direction according to strategic initiatives and priorities. The Coordinating Designer, Motion Graphics is a high-level creative expected to join and assist a team that is consistently setting the bar on quality and innovation in the Virtual Studio environment.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize Vizrt, Maya, Unreal, Cinema4D, Adobe CC, and proprietary software to create virtual graphics, motion graphics and other graphic elements for studio and event productions.
• Lead conversations with studio and event operations teams to implement virtual assets, maintain technical systems, and lead or assist teams during upgrades, testing and R&D.
• Utilize scripting platforms such as VBScript, Java Script or the like to provide solutions that only a code-based approach can provide.
• Maintain and evolve graphic directories associated with virtual studio production.
• Works well in a diverse, team-based environment.
• Interacts with production clients to generate creative ideas and assist with concept development.
• Engages in regular mentoring and development sessions with novice and intermediate-level staff members.
• Passion to stretch the boundaries of graphic and technical design.
• Actively participates on special assignments such as technical leads for new packages, in-house/off-site training and technical support for packagers, freelancers, and vendors.
• Adheres to all administrative responsibilities, including time entry and daily reporting requirements.
• Must be highly motivated, work well under pressure, and effectively prioritize multiple assignments.
• Firm understanding to know when to lead, follow, or get out of the way.
• Displays keen attention to detail, spelling and grammar.
• Look for optimization opportunities across all areas virtual graphics design, developments and production.
Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• 7 years of hands-on graphic design, animation, and motion graphics experience with real-time 3D rendering systems.
• Expertise in offline 3D design platforms such as Maya or Cinema4D
• Expertise in Adobe motion graphics products
• Expertise working in a major TV market or national network level.
• Ability to travel internationally and work flexible hours as assignments necessitate.
• Expertise in ray tracing platforms including Mental Ray, Vray, ZBrush, Mudbox, Substance, and real-time shaders.
• Extensive 3D Modeling skills
• Knowledge of 3D file formats and objects conversion tools for multiple renderers
• Ability to develop and optimize 3D assets for real time render
• Must have reliable transportation to work.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with renderfarms and GPU rendering systems
• Passion for sports
• Familiarity with ESPN programming.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Education
• Bachelor's Degree in communications, electronics, television production or related field
