Job Summary:
ESPN is seeking a talented individual to work on our team that's responsible for powering the global Watch, Direct-to-Consumer and video platforms across web, mobile and OTT products. We build the tools necessary to bring our apps to life and manage them day to day. We are working on new ways to categorize and tag our data. We partner closely with our editorial team to understand their needs and build efficient workflows. We partner with fellow Product Managers to understand upcoming features and support them with the necessary data and tools.
Responsibilities:
• Work with client application product managers and engineers to deliver tooling and platform solutions to power high-quality customer and partner-facing products.
• Coordinate and facilitate training sessions as new tooling features are developed and deployed.
• Create and maintain documentation materials on platform and tool functionality.
• Work with multiple internal and external stakeholders to create and maintain product roadmap.
• Capture and articulate product requirements based on stakeholder input.
• Work closely with the peer product teams to help manage day-to-day responsibility of product operation and coordination of product maintenance and support post product launch.
• Work closely with engineering teams on metadata and data architecture strategies.
• Manage, track and update the status of a number of different parallel domestic and global initiatives.
• Stay on top of market trends to determine new or enhanced capabilities that positively impact fan experience.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in Product Management, video technology and/or consulting in a related field.
• High level of comfort communicating with internal executive stakeholders domestically and internationally
• Strong analytical skills using Omniture, Localytics, Google Analytics or related software
• High energy and capable of prioritizing in a shifting, multivariate environment.
• Ability to operate e?ectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
• Demonstrated pro?ciency in data analysis and analytical thinking
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work cross organizationally
• Process driven and extremely detail oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience leading product on management tools, digital video applications and data platforms.
• Experience working with large data architecture taxonomy and ontology
• Experience taking direction and input from multiple sources and creating a shared product vision
• Experience working in Agile/SCRUM teams
• Skilled in creating wireframes, workflow diagrams and data architecture diagrams
• Demonstrated ability to work on a diverse scope of projects requiring detailed analysis, creative/practical problem solving, and sound judgment.
